Legal Framework
Issued under the regulatory powers of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) pursuant to the Electric Power Sector Reform Act (EPSRA) 2005. Now read alongside the Electricity Act 2023 which provides a broader framework for off-grid electrification. Aligns with the Rural Electrification Agency Act, the Renewable Energy Master Plan, and the National Electrification Project framework supported under UNDP and World Bank programmes.
